Hey i want to clarify this which scales better Math Extension 1 or chemistry. Yeah i know in the scaling sections Math Extension 1 scales higher but the chemistry teacher at my school says chemistry is the 2nd highest scaler part from MX2. Thankx hope you can tell me which is right.

Generally Maths Extension 1 scales much higher than Chemistry.

It depends, if you do bad then scaling won't help you much and vice versa

Anyway, Chemistry is NOWHERE near the top. And there are plenty of subjects which beat Maths Ex 2.

In fact, MX2 is around the second or third highest scaler, after a couple of high scaling languages, including extension Latin.

Chemistry, is in the top 5-10.

Chem does quite well for itself, but nowhere near the level of X1. Dunno what your teacher was on about.

thats clasical greek extension, not sure if it scales higher than 4 unit maths but i think it would be probable...

now kicking myself for not doing extension modern greek...not scaled as high as classical but not far off either...i chose ext history instead...which scales higher than modern...but i probably could ahve kicked butt in ext greek...ah well i will work with what i got now

as for ur question, i think ext maths 1 would get scaled higher, but dnt quote me...extensions are always a nifty little thing to have...more ppl should b informed about them on entering yr 11...my knowledge of them was minimal...and caused some regrets...but like i said i'll now work with what i got

woot another greek ? i also always think about if i should've done extension greek....classical greek ext. does scale quite a bit higher than 4unit maths along with latvian and other languages

anyway, ext 1 maths definately scales higher than chemistry, although chem does have good scaling itself

If you still not convinced with MX1 scaling better than Chemistry, you should check out the scaling comparison here. Also notice how MX2 is near the top but not at the top.
