I'm in a dilemma. I am going to pick up extension 2 mathematics and was sure about dropping modern history, but now i'm not sure whether to drop modern or physics.
I want to get into medicine, and am after the highest possible UAI i can achieve.
My other subjects are; 3 unit english and chem.
Yearly exam results and positions are
- modern history 93% (only one section assessable, and got 100%) 2nd
- physics 88% 1st.

any advice on what will maximise my results would be helpful.

I would suggest postponing that decision until you're further into Yr 12 and you have a better grasp of what both courses require at the HSC level.

e.g. You may find that there is some overlap between Physics and Chemistry and between Physics and Maths Ext 1. Or, you might find that you're going insane from so much science and need to seek respite in the annals of history.

Just be patient. :)
