Your "member status" changes depending on several factors: post count, reputation points..

Well the memeber title is usually determined by your post count. e.g when a member gets a certain amount of posts, the member title changes to a predetermined name for that level.....although at a certain amount of posts (not sure how many) you are able to change it to what you want
