i got an email saying, 'if your interested please come along to UTS information night', and just today i got a letter in the mail saying 'come to the UTS Advisory day' ???

whats the difference??
i wanna go and speak to someone of the people, do i have to go to both? which is better?

They are most likely completely optional, go to whichever one suits you or even both if you want. Personally I'd go to the advisory day - there would be a wider range of people on staff to answer your questions during the day.
