Okay, so maybe I'm not looking THAT hard...

But after reading that bloody confusing HECS-HELP booklet, I still don't know when the Census Date is, only that I have to pay everything upfront before it to get my 20% discount...

So... when IS the Census Date?

I've heard 10th March, 31st March, 15th April... So I'd appreciate if someone could find it for me in writing...

Census Dates
Census dates are the dates by which you must finalise your arrangements for payment of your student contribution or fees by:

submitting your completed Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form, or
submitting your request for a FEE-HELP loan, or
making an upfront payment of your student contribution or fees.
If you do not make these arrangements by the census date your enrolment may be cancelled.

Semester Census dates for 2005 are:
First semester:
31 March
Second semester
31 August

Trimester Census dates for 2005 are:
First trimester:
18 February
Second trimester:
10 June
Third trimester:
23 September

Payments must be made on the last business day on or before this date.

The census dates for non-standard semesters such as trimesters are different. Please contact the Enquiry Centre for these dates.

From your site:

March..31 Census date for Autumn semester subjects – last day to withdraw from subjects without financial liability

The 23rd is the last day you can pay (given that there is Easter and all that, public holidays=uni closed), but the 31st is the actual census date (but pay by the 23rd)
