Should you basically be explaining the affect on the audience?
E.g. in "Richard III", Richard is described using beast-like imagery, depicting how "his venom tooth will rankle to the death". This imagery reflects Richard's Machiavellian nature and gives the audience a sense of ambitious personality that drives him to kill to achieve his goals.
Also, is the thesis statement meant to be the overarching idea? And thus, you only make one per paragraph?
I.e. If you were doing Module A: Richard III
Analyse how the central values portrayed in King Richard III are creatively reshaped in Looking for Richard.
Is the following acceptable? And how can I change it to be more of a band 6 response.
Evil has been creatively reshaped to place Richard in a vulnerable state that encourages the reader to sympathise with his circumstances. (Thesis)
During the ghost scene prior the Richard's depth, Pacino questions whether Richard is actually a murder. "Is there a murder here" Richard asks to himself, to which Pacino replies "no". (should I explain this quote here, or leave it till the end when I add more evidence...?) This is further combined with high camera angle shots that elucidate Richard's vulnerability, and is further enhanced by a rapid montage of shots that creates intense feeling and parallels Richards distraught experiences. By placing Richard in a vulnerable position, the audience emphasizes with the character. This shows how Evil has been creatively reshaped to create a personal connection between Richard and the audience.
