I just completed summarising Quanta to Quarks, but I really don't like this topic.. I don't get anything:( since I have no background knowledge for chem..
so Im thinking of preparing for another topic for backup.. cos I stuffed up badly in option question in the trials...

Which one is good?

Medical physics is easy - you only need to know 2 formulas (the ultrasound acoustic impedance and reflected energy). It's by far the shortest option - astrophysics is huge.

There are only four sections:
1. ultrasound
2. electromagnetic radiation (x-rays, optical fibre endoscopes)
3. radioactivity
4. MRI (this is the hardest thing to understand in the topic - make sure you read several different text books just so you get your head around it)

Also - if you do it, make sure you know the advantages/disadvantages of each technique. Theres often a 5 or 6 mark discuss question on this.

I highly recommend medical physics if you're looking for the easy way out - I pretty much learnt the whole option in a couple of days before the trial.
