I want to study journalism at a Victorian university. RMIT seems to have the best reputation. Any insights?
I've considered Melb Uni, but the BComm course is being discontinued after 2009 and so many subjects have already been discontinued.
Are there any other unis with a reasonable journalism degree? Is RMIT the go?

i went to RMIT for a year befor transferring to charles sturt.

CSU is infinately better imho, but RMIT has good teachers and facilities and is right in the centre of one of the best cities in the world.

i actually think i got off to a great start at RMIT, because they teach the theory well, whereas CSU kicks you into the deep end. i really like the lecturers at CSU, but at RMIT we had more choice, and i was able to do literature as a minor which i enjoyed.

so yeah. if you're set on staying in vic, go to RMIT. if you're willing to move, go to CSU.
