There can be a number of reasons why many students may want to attend Year 11. Mostly it is the case of wanting to attend university, but there may be other reasons why adolescents still may go into Year 11.

Because Year 11 is before Year 12.
Same and university is after year 12. Plus the fact that HSC opens doors and offers more opportunities. ;)

Gonna be a real happy man eh?

A bit of everything for me, not just one sole reason, also I haven't got much of an idea about what to do later as of now.

Because it's after Year 10. And I wasn't exactly expected to leave school after that (hum...can't exactly imagine my parents' reactions otherwise :p).

Minimum return of servie would be 6+(prob more depending on my traning and specialisation) years for me. But joining the defence force is what i want to do, mainly for the humanitarian work our medicos in the defence force do for eg: currently:'Bradman MASH unit'(RAAF Hospital) in Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan Dafur(There is currently a RAAF contigent there), Also war zones currently RAAF medicos in iraq. Also previously work in indonesia tsunami, bali bombings etc,

Im not doing med for the money but rather to help others, medicine and money are my last thoughts, plus medicine in the defence force is pionering and ground breaking work with many new different and new fields.

there's also the whole azn/curry parents drilling into kids minds that u CAN'T GET A JOB unless you do ur HSC unless you wanna be a blue collar worker. thats just what most of em say, not that it's true or anything.
- i don't have much of a choice lol
- i don't really know what i want to do so why restrict myself by not having a HSC?
- i don't want to work yet - can waste many years " studying"
- i like school
- i like hanging out with my friends

and i dunno i didn't even think about whether i wanted to come back or not, it was just ... i'm doing yr 12 thats it school goes to yr12 do yr 12.

That, I understand.

But you have to admit, that's pretty shoddy expression.
