Why is an aluminium can better than a glass flask in a heat of combustion experiment? (1 Viewer)

Hey all, question is the title, just doing the write up for this experiment and couldn't find exact reasoning for this.
Any help is appreciated!

Conducts heat to the water better. Also if the can is shiny, it can reflect heat sources from the environment e.g sunlight (so you ensure more heat is from the flame)

I understand your point but the light reflected would have a negligible effect because the error you get from heat loss is way more.
