The internet facilitates this lack of any 'real' responsibility and accountability thus people attempt to try and create a persona upon which they can do what they could not in real life, or would not attempt in real life.

There is also the fact, most of these members are just kids, who for lack of a better concept, rely upon this 'shock value' to entertain themselves and accord self worth.

I'm not aiming this to you when I say this, but when it comes to real life, I just hate it when people hide behind the whole "its just an opinion, I'm entitled to express it", after saying either sexist, racist or any other form of obvious discrimination.

It's true you have the freedom to voice, although total freedom is chaos. If you choose to express every opinion that may or may not deeply insult someone, then you'll unfortunatley end up more or less alone.....

but considering its an forum, its anonymous, so there is no risk in speaking your entire mind no matter how hateful it is?
