It was really long and some bits were boring, but overall it was okay....I like Chinese Cinderella a bit more

Chinese Cinderella is the shorter version of Fallen Leaves isnt it? I liked Wild Swans, I like it almost as much as I like the Joy Luck Club and the Good Women of China.

i don't really remember wild swans because i read it when i was in fifth grade O__o
i liked falling leaves more. and yeah, chinese cinderella is pretty much the same thing except it only talks about her childhood.

I always thought 'falling leaves' was the sequel to 'chinese cinderella'...i'm probably wrong....
i didn't really like 'joy luck club' that much.....
Has anyone read the biography called (i think) 'a thousand sorrows' about a korean orphan...

bad memories

i had to read this book for school :( i guess it wasnt bad, but HSC english ruins everything it touches

but how the hell did she remember all that detail?? like she can practically tell us the colour of her shirt on a given day...

It is. I read both books thinking that one was the sequel/prequel to the other, only to find out they're both pretty much the same :(

falling leaves is good and so is the good women of china but i'm sick of those books now
