I'm not the greatest fan of Owen but i'm trying to go well - until i reached this assessment question -

What do you see as the main ideas and feelings in Dulce Decorum est? How does the poet convey these ideas and feelings to you? You must support what you say by making close reference to the poem

Feelings? main ideas?
Help me

The main idea is the flawed idealism of war, deflating its romantic heroism
"Dulce et decorum est / Pro patria mori" - (it is a sweet and decorous (fitting) thing to die for one's country) - famous saying - roman poet Horace.
The poem, like many of his others, reflects on this with bitter irony, using a ginormous range of techniques to convey this which I cant be bothered telling you....I wouldn't've thought this is a particularly hard question...dont you go through the poems in class?
