Winrar and zipping problem (1 Viewer)

Trying to zip up a move of 700mb.

I use win rar to .rar or .zip and each time it gets to 99% and feezes ...

Ive never zipped anything before. WHat the hell is going on??

well sometimes during the 99% mark other things tend to happen.
have you tried waiting a while longer?

btw
depending on the format. zippng or rarring won't make much of a difference. by that i mean. if it's a 700Mb file. a compression of 2Mb is barely worth the effort

not when you're only compressing, unless you're uncompressing you're more likely to recieve errors.

Does it happen only with that large file, or does it happen with other files? Try uninstalling WinRar, downloading a newer version from www.rarlab.com (if your version isn't the most recent), and then re-installing WinRar.

Also make sure the "virtual memory" in Windows is not disabled, that can cause alot of problems when working with large files.

I think this is enough. If you want help here it is never a good idea to cross the mod, who could very easily just delete the thread and be done with it.

Why don't you just use vdub to re-encode it to delete the credits at the end, that way it should fit on a cd.
