I feel really illiterate right now..I'm usually good with computers/IT stuff, but this' really annoying me.

We got wireless net installed at home last week (fish internet), and since there's 2 computers, we've got a router for the lan. Everything was cool when they installed it (the net connection for both comps was fine with the router).

I've been away since monday, and haven't tried to use the net till this morning. I found out a couple of hrs ago that yesterday morning something stuffed up (dad worked out that the bridge'd unplugged itself a bit) and now I cant get the net to work via the router.

When I have the bridge plugged into one of the computers, it's fine (IP address = 202...); but if I plug it into the router, the IP (on both comps) = 192.., so they're conflicting and i can't get online on either.

I tried doing all the stuff in the manual, everything's right according to that, but I still can't get it to work via the router. Has anyone got any ideas?

So I'm guessing you have an modem/router combo?

Try switching it to unbridged mode (not sure what thats called, hah) and get the address to obtain automatically.
