in most text books and resource guides it says that

• the introduction, conclusion and logbook is 500 words
• the central material is 2500-5000 words

However, after asking my SOC teacher about word limits, i was told it was more of a "guideline".

I'm not sure if this is correct or not and my introduction alone is about 750 words!

does anyone know?

Mine said anything over 10% is noticable and should be avoided like the plague. It just demonstrates your inability to refine and sythensise apparently.
