Hi, does APM find work experience for its students, or is it up to the student to find their own work experience?

Thanks

Greetings NTEU

As part of all APM's full-time studies our students complete a 6-month (2 days per week) Internship placement. APM has a database of over 200 companies who are happy to take APM students. Our students research which companies from our database they want to be placed with and under our guidance submit a formal application including CV to the company. Our students then interview with the company for the placement. It is a great way to get real experience in the job application/interview process. And of course we provide training as part of out full-time studies in how to create a resume and conduct yourself in an interview situation. Around over 30% of our students go onto being employed with their Internship companies. APM completely manages the Internship process for students and it is supervised from go to whoa!

APM's part-time students (who are usually aready working) can also gain work experience by participating in the numerous volunteer activities that we organise with companies. These volunteer placements may occur in the evenings or weekends. Alternatively some part-time students elect to take some vacation time from their normal jobs and undertake a mini Internship process.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions pls submit them via this site or jump on the phone and talk with one our course advisors - 9436 0155.
