Workloads are steady at uni. Some times you will be working hard at it, but in general you can still sustain your social life.

If your doing 4 subjects (which is average) then it is suggested that you work for 10 hours each week for each subject. So its 40 of work for all 4 subjects each week. In this 40 hours, it does include lectures and tuts and also time where you research for assignments. Some subjects you might find you work for 10 hours others you won't even need the 10 hours.

Maybe, it really depends. The HSC was more memorising, while uni you actually have to spend time in the library and the online library researching for valid resources for assignments.

Yes, they are so tough if you don't reference properly. They will relax for a bit of the first semester, but after that they expect you to reference properly - including putting all the dots in the right places etc.

Heres some links about referencing, I'd advise you guys to print if off and always have it with you when you do assignments.

Havard referencing

For other referencing types go:

http://library.uws.edu.au/citing.phtml

Havard is the most common one, but be sure before you start an assignment to ask what type of referencing is required.

you can transfer from B B&C to acct, jujst remember to try and do units of the acct course so you can gain academic credit. some people i know did what you just mentioned but they cant get anymore academic credit becasue there is a max of ten units of level 1 units recognised, and they did more than 10 level 1's.

about workload: depends on your units. some intro units are easy, while some other ones need you to study more to get good results.

I hope I can cope with 19 hours of uni, not includin travel and 19 hours of work.
I have two free days every week, for social and assignments and i get home at about 6ish on a tuesday.

what units are you doing? if you want to transfer mid year, dont worry about my comments as you would get most academic credit as electives and wouldnt stuff up that policy i mentioned.
there is always postgrad degrees and graduate programs etc.
one of the course coordinaters told me that i should stick with any degree, not just accounting, and then get a postgrad degree after some years expereicne in an accounting firm as an intern/whatever. she said that they like peopel from different [degree] backgrounds which adds to diversity.
some of these decisions are hard eh? lol

sure you can cope Sweet seasons, youll get used to it after like a month. ive been waking up at 6 in the holidays just becoz of my routine.

when you go to uni, ask your course coordinater, they will clear alot of things up since some/most are cpa/ca's.
the thing is i asked one fo them and they said, nope only the acct degree will get you a cpa/ca accreditation. but rules change so best to asked them who are always curretn with these things.

sweetseasons, i know how you feel. i leave hime at 6:15 and then catch 2 trains to richmond. I tend to leave all my work so I can do it on the train so I can have more spare time at home. Catching the train also gives you a great time to do readings not only for class but assignments. Anyway, you will soon get used to it.
