Im thinking about getting a part time job over the summer at a hotel. My friend works there, and makes about 1500/week (half being tips) and he says the people he gets to meet are pretty awesome.

Anyone had any experiences working at the front desk or at the hotel bar?

And what kind of stuff do they ask you to do at the initial screener interview?

1. Be polite and courteous.
2. Knowing a second (or third...or fouth) language is a fantastic skill when working in the hospitality/tourism industry.
3. That's good pay for lacky work. Take it!
4. Worship the ground American tourists walk on. Their hospitality industry is BUILT on tips. Learn a few things about the states, be nice and you will be rewarded.
