I'm doing Imaginative Journeys...but the question for the Creative Writing part is generic isn't it?

Does anyone have any questions we can practise on?

Yeah. One paper involved a series of pictures to draw from, some quotes, etc.

My trials, there were three quotes to choose from. I chose..

"A clear note in the silence" or something like that, and we had to include it in the writing. *yawn*

YEAH my 100th post!

Did you know they can ask you to write something based on a text in a stimulus booklet and actually specify the text for the creative writing section? My teacher told me (who is a marker of the HSC) and a few of my friends told me. :(

how do you mean by based on it? Actually if youre thinking what I'm thinking, it shouldnt be too hard: eg: if they specified margaret atwood, you could base it on the most simple thing, like the blurred distinction between physical and imaginative journeys?

You don't have to have an in depth knowledge of the text. But they could ask you to write a letter to Robert Frost (even though he's dead) discussing the journey that takes place. That would be weird because that would disadvantage those who do imaginative journeys ie. you, since it is based on a physical and inner journey.

In 10 years, we are going to look back on this 'Journey' area of study and think it was sooooo full of crap.

Ineteresting. They cannot specify, but it COULD ask you to write a letter to the composer of one of your own choosing from the stimulus booklet. Very interesting indeed. *prepares for it*

I know they can ask you to write someone based on a text(s) they give you in the first few questions...but I've never heard that they can do that with BoS ones...
I'm gonna die. They can't ask me about any other texts cos I've only studies Frost and Atwood's!

Are you the Board of studies?

They could do whatever they wanted. We all have the same stimulus booklet, they could specify.
