I am required to write an essay on Antony and Cleopatra with reference to an extract

The question is:

To what extent does your response to the following excerpt from Act 5, Scene 1 inform your interpretation of Antony and Cleopatra as a whole?

The essay is in class but the extract will be from a different scene

Any advice on how to prepare for the essay would be appreciated

The themes I will be referring to in my essay are: the rivalry between Egypt and Rome, the importance of honour and the choice between passion and politics that Antony and Cleopatra must face
