does anyone know the solution to this?! what can i do to fix it?!

media player's icon has now turned into an amercian flag!!

we were using it, next thing virus checker said something was accessing the net, pressed cancel and disconnected net. then i restarted the comp because media player wouldn't open. i just got back here now, the icon for media player is a usa flag, when i click ii get virus checker warnings, i'm getting popups AND i just realised the windows clock is gone!!!

When you open it does it play a file that says "Death to America"? :p

i haven't opened it. my virus checker says it's medium risk - istinstall_adlogix.exe or something and i keep blocking so it hasn't opened

edit: and i need my clock back!! damnit, my checker can't even find a virus

farrk!! it's slowly eating my comp!! the virus checker, recycle bin and others on my desktop are disappearing!!!! i think i'll turn the comp off

Do you use Win2000 or XP?

If so then do this:
- Ctrl + Alt + Del
- Open the task manager if it asks or it should automatically appear
- Sort the open processes by user
- Find the bits where your login is
- Find the offending application (isinstall_adlogix...) and anything else that is definitely dodgy (you should probably post the name of the application here first so you don't shut down something vital :p)
- End the process tree (right click on it and select that)

Then you should open up search and find the file then manually delete it.

That's generally how I remove trojans and whatnot from my mate's computers who have somehow wanked it up. The only problem is you need to be somewhat proficient at knowing which processes are needed and which are the virus (but as I said, they usually have shitty names).

HvLDu1R.exe

Appears dodgy. What you should do is search for all these files on your system, get properties on them and see if they belong to any legitimate programmes - Windows, Office, anything that you've installed lately which you use and is legitimate. If not then you should consider removing them.
