Given:

$x = Vtcos\alpha$
$y = Vtsin\alpha - \frac{1}{2}gt^2$
$\alpha$ not zero

$Vms^-1$ is intnial speed

I proved part (i) from this sheet and got:

$y = tan\alpha - \frac{x^2 (1+ tan^2 \alpha )}{4k}$

where $k = \frac {V^2}{2g}$

(ii)

Show point (p,q), where p not 0, can be struck by firing at two angles $\alpha$ and $\beta$ , given $p^2 < 4k(k-q)$
