Hey has ANYBODY done Wuthering heights?...i can't seem to get hold of anything about it...anybody got any idea about the types of readings or anything like that...anything would be much appreciated...

oh u poor child, i feel ur pain.

It is basically about an ophan named Heathcliff who is madly in love with his step-sister catherine and the way in which he rises up to become the master of both Wuthering Heights and Thrustcross Grunge, taking out his revenge on those who have mistreated him.

Their are a fair few readings about this. The most popular ones are the feminist reading and the marxist reading. You need to get critics to help back up ur theroy and also don't be afriad to go against the readings, provided you can back it up.

Also, another aspect of the novel is the calm and storm and how there is pathic fallacy (menaing that the wheather is used to help symbolically identify with the situtation) in the novel. And the symbolism of the 2 houses and the characters within the house.
