some benchmarks were leaked, lol

NDA will finish tomorrow

it seems the X800 XT is smilar speed to 6800ultra (except in openGL games, where nVidia slaugters)

but the X800 pro lags behind but quite alot.

funny thing is there is going to get a X800 XT platinam and a 6800 ultra extreme, lol. How many more tags can they add??

EDIT: and in UT2004 nvidia lags behind quite alot, hopefully this is a driver issue

nVidia where always crap with directx9 based games so i wouldn't be surprised if its faster that ATI's card in opengl.

if you want benchmarks just go to any review webisite

ie...

www.tomshardware.com

www.firingsquad.com

etc..
etc...

Edit:

After reading the reviews.
X800 is faster in most things with anistrpic filtering enabled, which is important.
With it turned off, the 6800 is faster

However, you must consider the future. cause the 6xxx line will all support PS3.0 and VS3.0, thus will gain a significan't performance boost when these are implemented.

Also, if you are going to buy low end cards, your prolly not going to use anistropic filtering. Thus, the pure speed in the 6xxx line may be more appropriate.

they are pretty much split down the middle right now.

for current generation cards, the 9600XT and the 5900XT are the best buys. the 9800LE is also good if you are willing to tinker with the bios.

PS3.0 are basicly performance imrovemnets and allow for more complex shaders
