Hello
I got a few Q's relating to this step (Sketching non-polynomials) I want to ask you guys. Could you please explain to me what is y' undefined, how to use it, how to solve for it and where do you plot the value on the y' table and the graph.

Another question relates to maximum and minimum problems

Q5. A sheet of paper for a poster has an area of 6m^2. The margins at the top and bottom are 0.75m and at 0.5m. Show that the dimensions for maximum printed area are 2m in length and 3m for its width.

y' undefined are the values for y' that makes it undefined (don't know how to explain it more than that)
for eg. then

therefore, y' undefined : x= 0

We know that y' is the gradient of the curve and when the gradient is undefined, there is a vertical line.
So the values that you get in y' undefined represents the vertical tangent.

in the y' table, plot the value in the (x) columnn and put two strokes in the (y') column to denote that it is undefined (vertical tangent).
