Calculate the molarity of a solution that has 0.4 moles of solute dissolved in 400 mL of solution.

Molarity=(Number of moles)/(Volume)

Here the number of moles is 0.4 and the volume is 0.4L

Therefore molarity = 0.4/0.4= 1 mol L^-1
