I got my letter in the mail today. Got through. Yay! Anyone else make it through?

This'll be O-Week number 4 as a yellow shirt for me. It's a much better feeling getting accepted than being rejected (which did happen to me). So if anyone did get rejected, I know what you're going through, and I'm going on to be a 4 time yellow shirt. So don't take it too badly, anyone can get rejected.

Still waiting :/
Maybe there was a delay for whatever reason. You can try contacting Jeff at the O-Week Office. Otherwise you can wait till Tuesday and hope that the letter arrives then. It's a really nervous feeling when you're waiting to hear from them and have that niggling doubt. Happened to me too ;)

300+ people apply for 130 spots. So it's pretty competitive. Plus with so many people and spots, there needs to be some standardised process.

You speak of not getting it as like the end of the world. I really don't see it as that serious :\

But congrats either way :)

You could always go along anyway and run unofficial tours of the university and whatever. Stick it to the man.

I applied for it and didn't even make the first round :(
after hearing this, my faith in the yellow shirt selection process has been restored...hahaha kidding dont even know the kid

seriously standards for yellow shirts? mustnt be that hard, i remember back in my o week in 2005. I was on a jumping castle (dont even ask why) and this yellow shirt was basically trying to fall on all the chicks on purpose and feel them up, classic!

It's never possible to successfully screen all 150 people who become yellow shirts. But I know of people who have applied and said something like "the aims of O-Week is to hook up" and been rejected for it. But every year there are a couple of bad eggs that make it through.
