Basically. Other than rank 1 and last, all numerical rank values are meaningless. The determinant behind you assessment mark are the relative gaps inbetween the ranks.
So the myth, 'ohhh look im 2nd/3rd im at a mega disadvantage, because 1st gets the highest mark' is FALSE.
Say for example, in your case you are 3rd. cumulative percentage wise you are 0.4% off first. If the highest exam mark is a 96. Your moderated assessment mark will be similar to 1sts, if not, 96 itself.
