I'd just like to discuss something i've noticed around this forum, alot of people seem to bitch about 'how can we believe what the media tells us?'. If you can't disseminate for yourself between when someone is making a bias opinion, exaggerating, leaving out facts then just don't watch the news.

sometimes watching the news really depresses me
my dad watches every single news program he can..on every single station..
and when we had cable..it was on aljazeera 24/7...(as long as he was home)
then sky news..cnn bbc..it was pathetic
i started to hate the news..its depressing..after a while
i feel after watching the news so much
and watching arabic news..and american news and aussie news
and even german and ittalion news(which my dad understands)
i can pick whats right and wrong..or atleast what i perceive to be right and wrong

When i watch news time after time i fell i almost memorized the major headlines lol. Some news items are not covered enough though, and some are covered way too much (like Prince Charles etc. who cares !)

Overall i think Australian news is objective enough, there is always going to be some degree of bias but it is acceptable. US news is much more subjective (namely FoxNC).
