Make the SC 10% harder and HSC 10% easier?

I think so. Even if they change it 5%. The jump from SC to HSC is far too huge. Either that, or make the Prelim course a stepping stone, instead of making it as hard as the HSC. (That comment might be a little contraversial)

What do you think?

Nah, I think the prelim courses prepares people well enough.

But nobody would care about the SC still so people would just get lower marks in it, plus, the hsc isn't that hard. You do have to know you're stuff but its not mind boggling

The hsc is pretty easy as it is, I don't see how it could be made easier. How about just spoon-feeding students and making them regurgitate answers? Oh wait, they already do that.

if they make the hsc harder, how are they going to gauge the best students from the worst? in my opinion they should make the hsc much much harder.

Why in the world would they make the HSC any easier than it already is?

The HSC is piss easy once you figure out how to exploit it properly.

yeah?! how do you do that?! fill us in :D

adding to the discussion about the prelim course being sufficient preparation for students... I think it would be pretty hard to make a general statement, because for some subjects the prelim course is absoloutely useless (legal studies) and then for some it is a necessity tht an HSC student couldn't have done without, (economics).

The UAI is a rank so it sort of doesn;t matter how hard or easy the HSC is.

I think that it should be hard, or at least have a lot of content, because if there is no difficulty it will become difficult to separate the middle range students from the top range students.
