Hello, i want to do psychology at uni, but also a course 2 become a youth worker at TAFE. is there a course at uni that covers youth worknig and psych together, or do i have to go to uni AND tafe?? plz help.

i say call the uni and ask for the psych dept or something and im sure that they will be very eager to answer your queries.

have you looked at a b. social work/ b. social science degree?

you undertake studies in psychology and sociology.

i say do B Sc as you can major in psych and combine that with studies from other areas as diverse as economics, marketing, civil eng, commerce units etc

i dont think there is a degree linking psych and youth work. i think you have to do them separately. i couldnt be sure tho. i am doing youth work at tafe and i think i will go on and study further at uni, whether it be psych or teaching, im not sure yet, but youth work is good so i encourage you to go with it.

yeah thats wa i thought..den the other guy posted a site, and it was a social work/psych course. might look in to that a bit more. do u know wat UAI you need to get into the BA of arts majoring in psych?

this years b. arts cut offs were:
UNSW: 82.65
USYD: 83.25

Heyt thanks heaps. im aiming for a UAI of about 80/90 (would be higher but im being realistic!!)
