Hey guys,

I'm ongoing to yr 12 next term. Could you please give me a rundown of GENERALLY what we're supposed to do in each topic, including AOS.

I just don't have no clue and just wanted to know what I'm in for.

Thanks.

area of study - imaginative journeys. has its own paper as its common to standard and advanced.

module a - is a comparative study of texts in their different contexts.

module b - a critical study of texts, ie looking at how a text can be perceived through different lenses of perception

module c - explores how certain concepts (such as truth or power) are represented in texts

hope that's helpful

yeah sorry my bad - i'm so used to writing 'imaginative journeys' that even when i'm trying just to write 'journeys' the imaginative comes along for the ride : )

Journeys for 2005 students

The AOS syllabus usually runs for two years so next year will have Journeys, however it is up to your individual school as to which specific journey they choose.

Module A - compare two texts, their contexts and values (and how the contexts shape the values) in terms of humanity's relationship with nature and with itself or Transformations...

Module B - know about one text, it's context and how it is valued by different people at different times, including how you value it.
