The effect of plate tectonics on Aus Evolution examples

I know this is the yr12 place but I there would be more potential info here. Really cant find anything worthwhile for this..

a) Citing specific Australian examples, propose reasons for the evolution, survival extinction of species.
b) What do the positions of mid-ocean ridges and spreading zones infer about what is happening to the Australian continent?

a) I can 'propose reasons etc for evolution' but I can't find an Australian example that directly relates to this..
b) Sounds absurd but I really cant find anything on this...

.. I've got everything else done for it, just need something decent for these 2qs..

a) I think you should talk about the Australian mega fauna. there should be plenty of information on this, especially in the Heinemann textbook.
b) mid-ocean ridges such as the one in the middle of the atlantic ocean, provide the evidence that the continent is constantly moving, because new land is constantly being formed in the mid-ocean ridges, and other's destroyed. U\You need to understand that Australia, on a continental plate is moving north towards the equator as a result of continental drift.
