well I don't think they can just set the UAI at 90 forever (I thought that was only put in place because it was a new course then). So it could go up, or it could go down (unlikely) but there's no telling to what extent yet
Why don't you look at Advanced Science at Macquarie? UAI 95-98, small (<10/year) and personal. You get research experience from year 1 and the faculty are really cool. USyd and UNSW, you get lost in the crowd.
