We tried to get them today and the chick told us some crap about not getting them yet cause they work till March. No shit, but I'm here now so I might as well get it!

As a hint to all the new kids: go NOW to get your student cards, parking permits and concession stickers. The lines are nuts in o-week, they litterally go out the door.

Yeah dude, apparently CityRail don't want us to give out student concession stickers until the semester starts.

Go figure, the longer they can restrict new students to paying full price, the more money they make (even though it would represent merely a drop in the ocean for them revenue-wise).

Bottom line is, we have to abide by what they want, because they are supplying the concessions to the universities. Anyway man, the other stickers are still valid til 31st March.

O-Week is going to be a mess for everyone involved, but if people stick to wanting student cards, parking permits, and the like, then it should be relatively well managed.

on one hand i know i can find out which books are recommended and i could get them now before the crowds.
but on the other, i've done that before and it turned out the UCB website was out of date and they'd changed the recommended text.

i hate cues.

Dude, you love the queues.

It signifies activity and life in the campus that had been dormant for months previously.

You learn to deal with them, and chuckle at the young'ns when they dress in their best clothes for first week. Meh.
