Does that statement
$\int af(x)dx = a\int f(x)dx$
hold true for complex a?

I am taking a total guess at this, but I assume that if 'a' is a constant term then it should be correct.

The first question is obviously the generalized version of this, so the answer is obviously the same.

Ahuh, why would the answer be any different from the general case with $a \in \mathbb{C}$ ?

It wouldn't, it's just that I didn't really get a definitive answer for the first one, and so I was hoping to simplify it. That way I could get an answer for the result I wanted, and then extend from there.

This is actually equivalent to the question "does scalar multiplication hold over the complex field?" and the answer is of course yes.
