I don't understand what they mean when they say 'This unit of study is not on the central timetable for this semester.'

its only for the subjects ive elected to do in semester 2..?

Re: Summer '08-09 Chatter Thread

Ughhh mine is OK. I can get a friday off, but that means a 5-6pm lecture for BIOL1003 on Tuesday. Dunno if its worth it.

I think i've tweaked it to a better option. What do you guys think?

I couldn't get any days off, but at least I managed to get rid of two 8am classes on Mon/Wed.

"Your timetable has difficult clashes and needs to be allocated by a timetable advisor. Click here for availibility of advisors"

Fuck?
Same... which is weird since looking at the individual unit timetables last week I only saw 1 clash (but between lectures with only 1 stream).

Does anyone know what criteria they use for clashes too severe for an automatic allocation?

Can't wait to put my faith in a system that misspells availability...

I'd prefer the Friday off really.

Although I suppose you're not planning to go to the Friday lecture?

My unofficial timetable is

Tuesday 2-4
Wednesday 3-5

That's it.

1st option is better, u wuldnt want to go to uni for one hour, try fixing the practical so it goes in the even week that way u can fit that class on friday in.

thursdays aint that bad, looks exactly like my timetable from last year :|

My timetable is heapppps good. :D
Got it exactly as I wanted it! No need to go in to uni. YAY!

Edit: Oh wait. Wth. Three hour break, but at least that means I can allocate that three hours off for the education class I'm mentoring.
jayadore, what degree do you do, education?

I'm still fiddling with my timetable, I still have to decide what units I want to do ARGGG

Hmmm.

It's not a bad timetable. I can keep tutoring on, no worries. Fridays off (as usual).

I only have one lecture on wednesday afternoon, but I think I might use that day as a lazy morning, then come into uni and do assessments seeing as I don't have any big breaks.

Exactly the same here, only one clash between two lectures with one stream - which doesn't seem like a 'difficult' clash at all. Grrr.

How easy generally is it to change your timetable around when you go in?

because i have only 1 tutorial on a friday which i am definitely going to try to move to another day.. but then i have 2 three-hour gaps which i thought i might be able to do something with aswell while im there..

at all possible? or will i need a really good reason?
ive already looked at the central timetables and it is looking good so far
