or i could call a daihatsu lanos a ra23 celica because they are on par. oh wait the lanos is a far better vehicle.
That's like saying a 2005 Ford Mustang is a better car than a 1969 Mustang.

Yeah, but...

Man, I drove a yaris for work (pizza boy lol), and it's the tinniest piece of shit, engine noise is heaps intrusive over 70km/h (might be partially cause it's an auto), the digital dash is shit (not to mention about 10% out according to my GPS) the only good thing about them is how easy they are to park. The design, interior and exterior, looks like shit. My ten year old pulsar is a much better car in every way. I honestly wouldn't swap my car for a much younger yaris. With ten years development, the 1.5 in the Yaris has virtually the same fuel economy and power as the old nissan GA16.

In conclusion, get a SSS pulsar. You get airbags and a gun non-turbo engine.

Pulsars are nuggets, don't get them!!!

xD

Pulsars are nothing special, I was just saying that the yaris is much worse.

Also, SR20DE are good engines, SSS pulsars aren't amazing cars, but they're good value for what you pay.

My 1.6L doesn't have enough power at low revs to hold 90km/h, in top gear, up a decent slope. It dies and you have to shift down on the freeway. Wish I had the 2.0L.

110 kw is still powerful for any car.

100kw is decent, does the job.

anything under 100, will get owned, especially if you use the shit out of the car, might experience problems, there not as tough/durable, i know ive had experience because i use to drive a car with about 92 kw.

i suggest cars under 100kw are good if your a local driver, but if you drive regularly long distances, chances are the car will get drained lol

72kw does the job fucking great

get a clue you stupid fucking wog

torque = nothing

fuck you go die

fuck your a stupid cunt...

there's a saying you know, "if you got nothing good to say don't say nothing at all"

wtf? who you calling stupid wog you bloody fob you don't know the difference between torque and power and the fact that both matter, since both are linked

how dare you talk to me like that, you scum!

goodluck with you and your shit 72kw car, wonder what it is?

your an ignorant fool driving that fast, i bet your piece of shit starts to rattle like nuts, you just made yourself look like a bigger fool, nobody thinks big of you when your speeding your way, any car can probably do 120-130 no problems...

you obviously don't know nothing, don't measure your level of intelligence with mine.

here, im about to show you what the difference is, now pay special attention.

The power grows roughly proportionally to road speed while the torque is roughly constant. This is because they are both related to the force applied to the road to accelerate the vehicle you dim-wit!!

now practically speaking, a high torque engine will have faster response to the accelerator pedal from a lower RPM. in your case idiot, your car with power 72kw has a low torque, a low torque engine may require you to shift into a lower gear to attain higher RPM's before maximal acceleration can occur. So, in real world driving between two engines of the same power, the higher torque engine will respond more rapidly to the accelerator, hence allow an increase in acceleration to occur.

your probably clueless, thats ok, your a fob i completely understand...

next time you think about charging into someone on a bos forum, think before you type here, you just made yourself look like a bigger fob that you already are.

i hope you get caught for speeding and lose your license..bloody fob!!!

thats great i hope your mum and uncle/dad get caught for all that inbreeding.

you're the one that said that underpowered cars are unreliable
horsepower is the amount of torque an engine can throw out in a minute
torque is the ability of the engine to rotate the crankshaft

to say that the more power a car has the more reliable it is is abso-fucking-lutely stupid, granted that more often than not (after taking into account such variables as engine capacity and configuration) the more power the car puts to the road the shorter its life will be and hte more maintenance it needs

Yeah no shit my car won't knock out 0-100 in 5th gear in 6 seconds seeing as its a fucking overdrive, not a short ratio gear designed for pure acceleration.

Also your statement about two engines with the same power is void, weight is just as an important factor as torque, no doubt my beetle would take whatever the fuck you drive your fat mum around in to school.

How tge hell do you manage to remember to breathe with an IQ as low as yours?

wtf are you on about dude? seriously your one fucked up kid

you think you can challenge me on what i say, im 100% right on what i said

and wtf you talking about fat mum around school? you haven't seen my mum to say shes fat you arrogant prick!

my drive kills yours shit little beetle, try a Toyota aurion TRD supercharged you piece of shit, yeah i managed to get one, i work part time, and i get good money and i saved and bought me one, next time i see your ugly fob face ill fuck your peace of shit up, and don't bring family members into the matter, my mum isnt fat you dumb fob!!!

your the one driving your whole fat ass family squeezed in a tiny beetle, haha how do you manage?

theres a certain level of power the car can hit, provided you dont hit the red liner, if you hit the red-liner all the time, you have shorter life span on the engine, but for instance my car is designed to achieve maximum output at about 6500 rpm to deliver 241kw of power, if i say rev to 4000rpm it wont lower the life span of my car, it can take it no problem...

and fuck you again, arrogant little prick!!!

Yeah well your IQ is so low you have to dig for it!!!

HAHAHAHAHA WHAT YA THINK OF YOUR BEETLE NOW???

You're far from 100% right. The only things from your first post I attacked was your disregard for torque and your idea that more power magically equals reliability. So if power increases reliability, what does torque increase? The number of sheep in New Zealand?

I honestly couldn't give a fuck what you drive, its absolutely amazing that you could spend so much money on a car and still not give a flying fuck about what it's capable of beyond what some salesman with even less knowledge of cars told you.

You say that a car wont get damaged as fast if you don't hit the redline, well what the fuck is the redline there for in the first place? And now you're telling me that hte less I thrash my car the longer it'll last? OH MY GOD WOW WHAT AN AMAZING REVELATION.

Also a car with more torque than another won't necessarily respond faster to you putting your foot down, it just means it'll accelerate faster.

EDIT: other things being equal

Turbo or supercharged engines, aside from problems that occur with the induction system itself, blow head gaskets far more frequently than a comparable naturally aspirated engine.

The most reliable cars are generally the simplest. And simplicity generally means basic and in a low state of tuning. Old camry's went forever because they were simple. Larger engines last longer, but only if they're kept simple and are well manufactured.
