I too have noted this rather disturbing new fad and have registered by disinterest in it and also by desire for it to stop. On the other hand, I do find solace in posting my progress on the internet as a kind of badge, so that others recognise that I've actually completed work - it holds a certian therapeutic value that I'm not willing to relinquish.
