I was considering letting my GF move in with me until I was told by various sources, including cenrelink officials, that if she were to live with me, we would be classified as being de-facto and our income combined. The overall income would lower as well as one of us is meant to be working legitimately.

How much would centrelink be giving in this situation? $150-$200 is nothing. I barely get by on $450 a week by myself i dont have a gf and kid with me. and i dont exaclty live a lavish lifestyle

while youre together, your 'rents income wont matter. though income either of you earn will.

after 12 months, you'll be independent when/if you break up.

doubt youll last that long, but kudos if you do.
