Difference in cultural attitudes between Asia and Australia.

Because Australia is obviously a highly western-orientated nation, ABC's (both girls and guys) are raised in an environment which sort of exudes a sense of aggression. Aggression not being anger but in this context, a sense of directness and more confrontational way of interaction that is usually devoid in Asian cultures.

In other words, ABC's probably have more balls/guts when it comes to attracting the opposite sex than your average, run-of-the-mill, passive mainland Asian.

it could also be the fact that asian guys have strict traditional parents whom dont like ABC chicks cos they cant cook, clean or etc (they are too 'delicate')...ive seen that happened with my friends..

I agree about many asian men being timid when it comes to girls they like. I have girl friends who say that asian men are getting more and more timid these days..they find rejection offensive while white guys can respect a woman's rejection better.

This is true. Not only this, but your standard half-Australian half-Chinese/Korean/Thai/Japanese/whatever tends to have higher social value than someone whose whole family has come from overseas. It's a lot easier to integrate into society if you already have your proverbial foot in the door due to the fact that you were brought up with not only an overseas set of social standards but an Australian set as well.

That said, an ABC (nice acronym there by the way) guy finds it much easier to approach and attract an overseas girl because she finds him to have the required skillset to easily mingle in her new Australian environment. In fact, most of the Asian guys you see with white Australian girls are probably ABC, simply because the guy already knows what an Australian girl is "looking" for. It's more difficult the other way round for obvious reasons. An Asian guy will find it a lot harder to attract an ABC or white girl because he wasn't born into Australian society and will feel a lot more nervous approaching her and her peers. That doesn't mean it won't happen though.

It's not to do with race at all. It's to do with social experience in an Australian society.

I find that in general, Asian men just aren't that highly rated in the overall attractiveness stakes with a few exceptions whom I've heard are referred to as 'Hasians', the H standing for 'Hot' and this applies to both genders. I also contest the OP that states ABC girls prefer ABC guys. They actually prefer white or mixed.

Also, who actually LIKES the asian accent? There is nothing romantic about 'I am so ronery...' :rofl: coming out of the mouth of a 5f3 55kg skinny asian male with thick black plastic glasses and a 'moon cake' face (flat, features stamped on rather than sculpted) and thongs?

lol - asian accents vary. but idk, some ABCs kinda splice their asian accent with their aussie accent and it comes out sounding really hot. and come on, you can tell those who were born here and those who werent.
nature Vs. nurture - all chinese people look similar but the way their features look can change depending on the environment. skin can look cleaner, smoother, more refined in an environment which has clean air and skin in general will look better when it hasnt been exposed to excessive work. these conditions would naturally be exprienced by anyone who is born near or in a city. besides, Australia has air almost 100X cleaner than that in China =.= i think that would make a significant impact on an individual growing up.
