Hi guys,

just wandering if anyone can help me with the following function.

Q) Sketch x/x+1

i know u can convert it into y=1- (1/x+1) , which in effect makes it much easier to sketch..

my Q is how do u convert the original function into y=1- (1/x+1)

THANKS !!

Add 1/x+1 to the function, and minus 1/x+1

So now you end up with something like

x+1/x+1 - 1/x+1 = 1 - 1/x+1

btw, you're not meant to know this in 2u maths.
