I go to James Ruse, got a 98.85 estimate at the moment do I count?

1. I have a social life albeit truncated by long distances between friends although MSN/Phone/Texts make up for that. I spend a a lot of time at school socialising, teachers tell me I talk too much, I love clowning around, etc.

2. I am fairly fit now compared to before, but I could be fitter (no I'm not an obese pig, 45kg is not obese for a 170cm guy).

3. I do about 2 hours work per night, all of it Maths since I can't be fucked doing anything else.

4. I play a lot of computer games, go swimming and I have lots of fun, and I'm not dependant on tutoring for everything.

5. I'm in school Cricket and Oztag team (proud to be 2nd worst player in both), and my House swimming relay team for the grade.

6. I dont party because of massive distances (my best friend lives in Bankstown I live on the North Shore go figure) but i do ahve a party at myhouse every Christmas and often birthdays etc.

7. I have a massive sex drive and watch a lot of porn. It's my healthier alternative to drink/drugs.

That good enough?

That is true. Bill Gates, Kerry Packer. For argument's sake, Kyle Sandilands. However, that happens to like one in a million. On the other hand, those that get 99 UAI/ATAR, about 80% lead steady lives, wives, husbands, families, 9-5 job, decent pay, etc etc in an office with air conditioning (or at the very least, they are where they wanna be). The chances if you put in the hard work now, are much higher.
*Phil Gould voice* no no no no no. Bill Gates actually finished high school with (apparently) an SAT score of 1595/1600. Yes, he skipped classes and such to do business, but he still gunned school at the end. His parents had something to do with the Harvard Law School which he dropped out of after his first year.

what happened to friendship, been a teenager? what happened to making memories when you are young that you remember for the rest of your life.
you dont wanna be old and and have no good memories of your youth because all you did was study. but not saying studying and getting a good mark is not important just that everything in moderation is good.

all i can say live your life cause you only be young once.

Not everybody who gets 99+ has no social life. It's about studying smart, not hard. The people at my school last year who got 99+ worked like that, so they still did a lot. Our dux was actually vice captain.
Cause vice captains are so fuckin' cool

Aww, that made me lol.

Everyone cares heaps about dux and the competition.. All the possible candidates for dux and in my english class, and the subject was brought up once. Man it was awkward, so awkward it was funny XD

I personally don't care about who gets it. I think it's funny.

Once you leave high school, you pretty much lose your capacity to make friends. You will still have them, but as you get older, starting from your first year out, you will never have the 'best' friends you had in high school.

Why the fuck would you want to abandon that for a job or a uni degree?

yeah, like not donating to charity unless it gives you an extracurricular stamp.. or bullying for lulz. not qualities that i value, personally =]

anyway, im not saying i dont have respect for them or even look up to these kids as role models academically or physically or socially. but i hate it when people say "i wish i was so-and-so", because you really wouldnt rather be someone else. well i wouldnt.
