need help on how to fix a motor (1 Viewer)

[MOTOR HELP]

when i built my motor i started out with magnet wire . coiled about 15 times around a radius of 3/4 of an inch. on the sides i braised it to see the silver part of it. then i made a paper clip out of this wire (completely braised) and taped it to the floor. i then took 2 aligator clips and attached them to the made paperclips and the other side attached to 4.5 volts. I put my magnet on the side of the coil which in between the paper clips. it still doesn't work help me out plz

Wouldn't the paper clips/wires need to be able to rotate freely on an axle or something similar?

So basically you have a paper clip in a magnetic field, with the paper clip connected to an external power supply but it doesn't spin... is it DC or AC current? If it's DC you'll need a split ring commutator or it'll move for a bit and completely stop and if it's AC you'll need slip ring commutators.

15 turns of the coil?
That seems far too less.
I had like 225 on my motor, it was a beast!
Massive torque too, It rattled like a vibrator?
