Yeah, I heard that Rooney supposedly dived. I'm gonna go watch the game now
For one thing, Eduardo didn't get any contact from the goalkeeper.

Rooney did. To be fair though, while he did get the ball away from the keeper, the ball was going out. It's a flawed rule.

Yeah, just watched it.... it was a dive but it was still a penalty, if that makes sense? He was on his way down before the contact came

shit call but it was spur of the moment so i can understand - although the ball was going into row z and rooneys legs were gone before almunia even got to him.

arshavin non-penalty was a shit call.
sending wenger to the stands (for kicking an empty water bottle at noone in particular) to chants of ''wenger you're a paedophile'' was a reaally shit call.

the better team was there for everyone to see; kind of better to lose 3 points now than in april.

i feel bad for the team arsenal are to play next.

Almunia is a dumb cunt for even going near him when the ball was heading away from the goals.

Thought Arshavin should have got a penalty to when he got crunched in the box.

I think the arse have man city next?

yep, thats right, lets see whether a $220 million dollar team can demolish a young but talented Arsenal squad.

and also, there is another HUGE game on this weekend, SPURS vs MAN UTD....the question is, can the spurs defeat man utd, without their influential Modric in Midfield? hence, who do you guys think will be top of EPL after Gameweek 5.:rofl:

Not this weekend, the next one. Yeah I know, internationals suck.

Usually I would be happy for a draw at Tottenham, but now that they're up there with us, I want a win and a win we'll get. 1-0.

Arsenal should beat City... barring significant injuries over the weekend. But I hope Adebayor scores. Just for the fun of it.

Trues, Portsmouth's best Midfielder in "NIKO" as officially moved to the Spurs; but will he be able to replace another croatian in Modric?

Portsmouth are seriously struggling and are in big danger this season.
Even with new money coming into the club.

They have pretty much sold their entire team. Good luck to them.

I don't know, if FIFA want a scapegoat, they might throw their lawyers behind it. I doubt Chelsea are the only ones doing this though. What is so morally dubious about selling a club to players anyway? It all depends on exactly what they did.

This type of ban happened to Roma too, but on appeal it was reduced.

They may wish to make chelsea scapegoat, but it would have to be fucking bad for a 2 years ban to be fairly warranted.

I feel worse for Kakatu, 4 months of no playing and a big fine, could really hurt his development. He is our best youth prospect too.

Well, you can't do much in a Jan transfer window. Not for a club like Chelsea.

And anyway, they're appealing and what-not, everything will be over in like 2 weeks and it will seem like nothing happened.

It is hilarious while it lasts though.

re: The Official Football Thread

It just gives chelsea another reason to moan and another excuse when they do not win anything again
What are you talking about, we're winning the treble this year.
