basically my pe teacher is telling the class that if we dont participate she can fail pe from our school certificate and as a result we wont recieve one. I doubt this is true, any ideas?

She definitely has the power to, but whether she will use it or not is up to her.

Just start participating - you only have a term left anyway :)

Possible, if you receive an "N" award. Conversely you can just participate in sport, whats wrong with PE?

Yeah it's true... if you fail health or PE, you don't get a SC. Which is stupid because we don't even have an external exam for PD/H/PE, but I suppose because it is a compolsory subject...

Exact same thing my PE teacher said last year when I didn't participate but I still got my School Certificate.

Our teachers say that to us as well. It is pretty much an empty threat but a non attempt at P.E can mean no school certificate. Just participate, PE is fun anyway. A bludge.

I am counting down the PE lessons, sport afternoons etc, until school breaks up and non of it is compulsory ever again!
Even though my fine motor skills are somewhat lacking, I still enjoy "solo sports" like Cross Country, Athletics (esp. high jump) and swimming. Gaelic football was th only team sport I enjoy this year in PE. Next year there are practical lessons but they only occupy 5% of the course time (6 hours OR 1 full school day) each year, Years 11 and 12.

PDH & PE is awesome! Don't knock it, girl. :)

It was probably just to scare you. Agreed that she has the power to but incredibly, incredibly, incredibly slim chances she actually would. Don't worry.

But anyway, participation in PE is usually fun so you might as well.
