Its called a "victimless crime". Means there is technically no victim. But its a crime nonetheless. And. Last i checked. Crimes were illegal.

From Wikipedia:
Prostitution is legal in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory, but not in South Australia, the Northern Territory, Tasmania and Western Australia. Brothels are often regulated by local council planning laws. Street prostitution is illegal in all states of Australia except New South Wales, where it is prohibited near churches, schools, hospitals and similar venues.
And to the OP: I really don't care how many people they've slept with. Nor do I care about the ratio of relationship to casual sex. I wouldn't want to fuck a virgin but that's about it.

I figure that anyone I'm sleeping with is 21+ and while being a virgin at that age isn't that big of a deal, I feel like after waiting for it for awhile they would expect something more than just sex which I'm not really up for offering right now.

EDIT: I know some people will pull out the "they have no experience therefore they would be shit" argument but the one and only time I slept with a virgin (which was actually when I was in a relationship with them), they were better than someone else who had fucked 30+ girls.

But you would if a relationship was on the cards?
Maybe.

Depends on how it plays out. I guess I'd be wondering why they waited since most of the virgins I know are waiting for marriage or "someone special" and since I don't believe in assigning that much importance to something so physical, we'd probably have a fundamental difference of opinion there.

I thought girls crave virgins; youthful innocence was a turn on?

Not necessarily, I know a lot of older virgins whom it just hasn't happened for. They're all pretty normal, not religious and quite attractive. And sex isn't some giant spiritual thing. It's just sex.

I personally think it's a little silly to think for someone else and just assume that they want something earth shattering and special.

Yeah, most of the time this isn't the case but still kind of weird just to write someone off for that.
That's a good point. I've never really thought of it as "writing someone off" in that way. It's really just that I haven't met many older virgins who don't hold it up as something important. If they wanted to get it over with, pretty much everyone has already.

I know I wouldn't be comfortable fucking a virgin in a casual sex situation due to my experience with them and since I'm not looking for a relationship, it's not like I'm going to actively seek them out. Though I know some people who do but that's another weird story.

Like pretty much everything in L&R though, it's dependent on a whole lot of factors and different situations though so I probably shouldn't say I'll never do it.

Meh. Virgin or not virgin, how many ppl they fucked beforehand (would prefer if they didnt fuk too many..)
Deep, wholesome, not 'we-fuck-holes' or 'we-rub-genitals-til-we-cumm-silly' Sex is earth shattering, groundbreaking.

When does the # of notches in a person's bed post start to bother you? When it reaches 1? 5? 10? 50? When does it become a dealbreaker when looking for a serious relationship? And why?

Does the ratio of relationship sex: casual sex play a role in influencing such a decision for you?

I can understand that it's age-relative but at this point in my life I'm bothered by anything > 5 assuming they're around the same age as me. The reasons it bothers me are numerous, ranging from intimidation, the fact that I'm against casual sex altogether, and the fact that it shows our sexual appetites are probably not in sync.

Ratio of casual sex: relationship sex... kind of needs to be around 1:3 otherwise I'm phased by it.

(For references my # stands at 1 and I plan to not exceed 3. Like. Ever)
Number of partners doesn't bother me. And casual/relationship status also doesn't bother me. It's not really something I have any interest in discussing with a partner. If relationships and unprotected sex were on the cards then an std test would be on the cards as well, beyond that I don't care.

Basically agree with Sarah that I find it strange that people my age (23+) are virgins and that if they are there is usually a religious/moral/etc reason which wouldn't mesh well with me. There could be exceptions but I don't think there would be many at all.

Ay0 don't really understand your limit of three over a lifetime.... it is really very very low...
afaik the average in Australia is around 16 partners... To place this in perspective you've already used one, allow for a drunken mistake at uni and now you're left with marrying your next serious boyfriend (or becoming celibate)....

pretty sure youve got it the wrong way around dude

a girl who is exclusive with who she sleeps with is a much better catch than someone who will sleep with anyone without much thought
