Like the title says, does anyone else knows words i can use other than "this conveys "a sense of belonging"

Instead of "belonging", try using "inclusion" and "acceptance". For "not belonging" try the following: "exclusion", "isolation", "remote", "forgotten", "ignored", "not accepted" and "not included" :)

Use synonyms to mix and match,

this conveys...

illustrates
creates
imparts
eludicates
demonstrates

a sense of...

feeling
idea
perception

belonging...

inclusion
connection
familial/ filial/ brotherly bond
acceptance
relationship
ties
affinity
mutuality

or reword the whole thing,

the aspect of familial belonging is shown through...
high modality enables the responder to appreciate the violent relationship between X and Y...

Our school decided to cheat in year 11 and make us do AOS on "the outsider". Try also "outsider", "foreigner", "minority".

I like never-mind's list :)

It's all pretty much common sense to think of other words that describe both belonging and not belonging.
