How to graph

x/x^2-1 = y from scratch?

Cause theres no turning pts. Do we just plot the pts?

i assume it's:

y is a function so,

vertical asymptotes at points where f(x) is undefined:
x2-1=0
x=1 and x=-1

horizontal asymptotes; behaviour of y as x->+-infinity:

.'. as x-->+-infinity, f(x)-->0

when x=0, f(0)=0

also f(x) is odd

when x is +ve f(x) is +ve

when x is -ve f(x) is -ve

try graphing now by drawing in the horizontal/vertical lines (using broken lines) and then using the other information :)

nb: remember a function can cross its horizontal asymptotes but not its vertical asymptotes

Never plot points. You are at 3u/4u level now.

Use the as x--> infinity, y approaches w/e if you feel the urge to plot the points.

btw see attachment. black is the guide graph. green is
